My programming journey began in 2012 when I decided to study Computer Science at the University of South Florida in the USA. For the four years I studied there, I was able to get a very good understanding of the powerful things that one can create with Software. After graduating with honors (Cum laude) I was ready to take the next step in my career and learn more about the field.
Right after completing my Bachelor's in the USA, I decided to keep the momentum and move to Sweden to complete my Master's in Software Engineering at the University of Gothenburg. During this time I also started putting my programming knowledge into practice by working as a part-time Software developer. These two years of Master's provided me with a good preparation for the industry and a better understanding of how to create good software systems.
I have always been fascinated by the amazing things that can be done with a device as small as a smartphone. This fascination has led me to be part of several companies as an Android developer. Over the years, I have worked on Android applications related to parental control, opening doors via Bluetooth, creating a Netflix but for games, and much more. Android is still my passion and I continue developing Android applications but now targetted to the education industry.
The Python programming language became a central part of my programming career when I accepted a job as a Research engineer for International Transport Energy Modeling. During my time there, I was responsible for using Python for the creation of programs that cleaned, managed, and visualized energy- and transportation-related data. Although I no longer belong to that group, Python continues to be a key tool in my programming tech stack. From backend systems and automation, all the way to front-end development and scripting. I continue using Python every day.
In 2020, I started a business from my teaching passion when I founded Linero Tech AB with the mission of helping people start a career in IT.
That same year I partnered with a school in Gothenburg, Sweden to teach adults who wanted to start a career in IT. I continue to work with that school to this day and year after year we continue helping people with little to no programming experience become proficient software developers.
In 2023, I left my primary job as an Android developer to dedicate full-time to my passion for teaching and focus entirely on Linero Tech AB. I continue to write code every day, mainly in Kotlin and Python, but to develop applications and systems to give better support to my students.
