Yrkesvux refers to vocational training at the upper secondary level for adults who want to switch careers or deepen their existing skills. It’s ideal if you lack an upper secondary education, want to change profession, or need to enhance your current qualifications.
You may be eligible if you:
- Are an adult between 20 and 64 years old
- Haven’t completed an upper secondary education
- Want to take courses to become eligible for further studies (e.g., college or university)
- Want to validate your current skills and knowledge
- Want to switch careers to improve your job prospects
Additional requirements may vary depending on the program you apply to.
Yrkesvux programs are free, but you may need to pay for materials such as books, workwear, or safety gear. Each program page will detail what costs may apply.
Most programs last about one year. Full-time studies typically mean 20 credits per week; a 1,200-credit program lasts about 60 weeks.
WBL or internship is an essential part of Yrkesvux programs and accounts for at least 15% of the program.
It gives you hands-on experience, helps you build a professional identity, and strengthens your job network.
All the tech programs at Linero Tech include an internship or WBL.
You’ll receive grades for each completed subject, based on the Swedish grading scale A–F.
All Yrkesvux programs are eligible for CSN student aid. You can apply for financial assistance via CSN.
